It was moist

There are words that bother me regardless of context. I'm not referring to words that are typically thought of as being profane, I'm talking about normal words that just seem off to me.

Moist is one of those words. Getting into barbecue, this word is used a lot and every.single.time. it makes my cringe.

Another one - gelatinous. Another - rectify.

Y'all got any?

But not rectifier. That's Mesa Boogie and that's awesome.

'less' when most times the proper word is 'fewer'

Less bothers me less than under does. It really ticks me off when people use over or under when they mean more or less than.

Moist is a word that bugs me too, Cullen. It's just...nasty sounding.

The word nip does that for me too. As in "nip it in the bud." Ewww. No.

Nip. Bud. Heh.

You could use succulent in place of moist but that doesn't sound much better to me. :)
